The Lion King ‘Pride Lands’ Coming to Disneyland Paris: Everything You Need to Know
Disneyland Paris is getting a brand new land based on The Lion King, which will be a first for any Disney Park!
Here you’ll find all the information we know about the new land so far.
There is no opening date just yet, but construction is set to start towards the end of 2025.
Location
The Pride Lands will be located in Walt Disney Studios Park, which is changing its name to Disney’s Adventure Park in 2026.

Disney’s Adventure Park will also feature The World of Frozen.
Layout
The video below shows a model that was showcased at the fan event, D23. It gives us an idea of what the Pride Lands’ surroundings will look like, which are inspired by African savannas.
Attractions
The Pride Lands will include the iconic Pride Rock, and it’ll be home to a brand new attraction.
The ride will be a log flume ride similar to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom and Disneyland in California.
The concept art below is newer than the one above, and you can see a few differences between the two.
One of the most noticeable changes is that the boats in the newer concept art sit three people in a row rather than just one, as seen in the older art.
The ride will contain scenes and songs from The Lion King movie, plus audio-anamatronics of our favourite characters.
The original concept art featured the live-action characters, but in the newer art, the animated characters are used.
I think most Lion King fans would agree that using the original animated characters and music is the right way to go, and I can’t wait to see how these characters are brought to life!
Dining, Shopping and Character Meet & Greet
The new land will also have dining and shopping opportunities, plus the chance to meet your favourite Lion King characters.
Unfortunately, Disney haven’t revealed any information about restaurants or shops yet, but hopefully we’ll get more information soon!
