What’s Coming To Disney World In 2026 and Beyond

Big things are coming to Disney World!

Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios are all welcoming new lands. These lands will have multiple attractions, including some based on Disney movies that have never been at Disney World before!

I’ve rounded up all the latest news about future arrivals at the Disney World parks!

Magic Kindom

It’s been a long time since big changes have happened at Magic Kingdom, but new things are on the horizon at the park. We’re losing some classic attractions, but new and exciting things are on the way!

Cars is Coming To Frontierland

A Cars-themed area is coming to Magic Kingdom! It’s going to replace Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island in Frontierland, which means the Liberty Square Riverboat is also closing.

It’s been confirmed that the settings for the area will not be Radiator Springs, but instead, the cars are heading west to new frontiers!

The area will contain two new rides. The first ride will be a thrilling off-road rally race through the mountains.

There isn’t much information about the second attraction, but it’s been described as being more family-friendly.

You can keep up to date with all the announcements about the new cars area here.

Villains Land

The Villains are taking over Magic Kingdom with their very own land!

Disney hasn’t released much information, but they have confirmed that the land will include two attractions, plus dining and shopping opportunities.

Villains Land is part of the Beyond Big Thunder Mountain phase, so even though the exact location hasn’t been revealed, it could be located in the area behind Big Thunder Mountain, where currently part of the Rivers of America is located.

Rivers of America is going to be replaced by the Cars area, so it’s possible the river area behind Thunder Mountain will also be replaced or incorporated into the new Villains Land.

Animal Kingdom

The additions to Disney World are also happening over at Animal Kingdom. We’re saying goodbye to Dinoland USA and hello to a brand new land with multiple attractions!

Pueblo Esperanza

Pueblo Esperanza, which means “Village of Hope,” will be a brand new land themed around the Tropical Americas.

The new land will be completed in stages, and Disney hopes that it will all be finished by 2027.

The space will be lush and sprawling, featuring a large fountain in the centre where the villagers like to gather and tell stories. Additionally, a woodcarver has created a giant working carousel featuring his favourite animals from Disney stories. Below are the confirmed attractions that will be a part of Pueblo Esperanza.

Madrigal Casita

Encanto is finally coming to Disney World with a Madrigal Casita ride! You’ll get to explore Antonio’s rainforest bedroom and meet up with Madrigal family members along the way!

Disney hasn’t announced much information about the ride, but we do have some concept art, which you can see below.

The first-ever “Encanto”-themed ride-through attraction is coming to Animal Kingdom, featuring the beloved Madrigal family from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film. Inside the Casita, Antonio has just received his special gift — the ability to communicate with animals — and his room has transformed into a rainforest. It’s time to go explore alongside him, and you never know what member of the family you might bump into. – Disney

Indiana Jones Adventure

Pueblo Esperanza will also include an Indiana Jones Adventure ride, which will replace the existing Dinosaur attraction.

This ride will maintain Dinosaur’s ride system but will introduce new scenes that depict Indy exploring a temple.

As a huge Dinosaur fan, I’m glad that the ride system will be staying the same, and as much as I’ll miss the dinosaurs, I think it was about time the ride had an update!

In this new venture, the man with the hat has recently discovered a perfectly preserved Maya temple, and that can only mean one thing: it’s time to explore it. He’s heard rumors about a mythical creature deep within the temple — and he’s got to see it for himself. So, he brings us along on the adventure… but will there be snakes? We’ll just have to wait and see. – Disney

Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios has seen many changes over the years, with the introduction of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land, and even more changes are on the way!

Monsters Inc. Land

Monstropolis is coming to Hollywood Studios! This new Monsters Inc. themed land will be replacing Muppets Courtyard so we’re saying goodbye to Muppet*Vision 3D, PizzaRizzo and Mama Melrose’s.

While specific details haven’t been revealed, the land is expected to feature both dining and shopping options, but the most exciting news is that Monstropolis will have Disney’s first suspended coaster!

As you can see in the concept art below, you’ll be hoisted into the air and zoom through the door vault just like Sully and Mike in the movie!

Construction is set to start in 2025, but there’s no opening date just yet. You can keep up to date with everything we know about the new Monsters Inc. Land here.

Muppets Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster

The Muppets are taking over the Rock ‘N’ Roller coaster at Hollywood Studios!

It was announced that Muppet*Vision 3D would be closing along with PizzeRizzo’s restaurant, but the Muppets will live on in the reimagining of Hollywood Studio’s classic coaster.

“The Muppets will be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, teaming up with some of music’s biggest stars for a rockin’ music festival!” – Disney.

I’m excited to see which music stars the Muppets will collaborate with. The great thing about this reimagining is that new artists and songs can be added over the years, allowing Rock ‘N’ Roller to have a continuous refresh!
